Code of ethics and business behavior

«The Code of Ethics and Business Behavior of MTS Employees» (The Code) specifies MTS’ internal policy. Its aim is to regulate the various aspects of employee interaction both with each other as individuals and with the Company’s management. It includes standards on both the norms of internal behavior and the rules of MTS employee interaction with business partners and external auditors.  The Code is applicable to all MTS employees, regardless of their position within the Company.
The Code guarantees MTS employees:

  • Freedom from any kind of discrimination. Engagement, enhancement of professional qualifications, promotion, disciplinary measures etc are all carried out regardless of sex, race, nationality, language, origin, age, residency, religion, political conviction, membership or non-membership in social associations, social status and the position the employee holds in the Company.
  • Protection from discriminatory behavior, disrespectful attitude and other kinds of harassment.
  • Safe working conditions.
  • Reduction of the adverse effects of the Company’s activities on the environment.
  • Observation of all government standards in labor relations.
  • Fair and impartial resolution of all controversial issues by the Company’s management.

The Code also deals with the following points:

  • Categorical ban and condemnation of child and forced labor.
  • Ban on the exploitation of one’s business position for personal interest.
  • Ban on any kind of activity which doesn’t correspond with the local anti-corruption laws, the law of the USA on the fight against corruption in foreign economic activities (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) and MTS’ internal policy.
  • Ban on activities which violate customs and tax legislation.
  • Protection of MTS and other intellectual property rights.
  • Rules of business behavior with colleagues and partners.
