PRESS REPORTS ON GSMA LETTER TO PRESIDENT KARIMOV

GSMA General Director Anne Boverot sent a letter to President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov asking him to intervene in the situation around MTS in Uzbekustan which "without his direct input, risks damaging reputation" of this country. The letter has been cited in a recent Reuters report on Uzbekistan.  GSMA's involvement was also covered by The Register, Total Telecom, Developing Telecoms, European Communications.
