Thursday, February 18, 2016

MTS has announced the renewal of a contract to provide integrated telecommunications services to state and municipal organizations in the Perm Region of Russia. In addition to traditional mobile services, such as voice, roaming, and messaging services – MTS will also begin to provide state representatives with the high-speed mobile and fixed-line Internet access.

In 2015, MTS was the first company to adopt the LTE-A in the region to be able to increase internet speeds to 150 Mb/sec. Over the last year, the data traffic among corporate clients including authorities has doubled.

In addition, MTS has been able to win contracts with the authorities of the Kirov Region where it will provide mobile and fixed-line services to municipal institutions in 2016 and a 3-year contract with the subsidiary of Transneft in the Samara Region for providing mobile services.
